With panoramic views of the Mediterranean, the Primary School Site has excellent facilities which create the perfect learning environment, purposefully designed to meet the needs of the pupils at each stage of their development.
The main building has 30 large air-conditioned classrooms with interactive whiteboards, plus speciality teaching spaces for music and ICT. The Year 5 and 6 building includes classrooms, an ICT suite, offices, a playground and sporting areas specially designed to give Years 5 and 6 more space.
The Early Learning Years (ages from 1 to 5 years old), have an area designed for our youngest students. Each classroom in the Early Learning Area is arranged to support early language and physical development. They each have access to an enclosed patio, with outside play areas that have soft fall flooring, excellent playground equipment and access to water and sand trays. The main building also contains a Psychomotor Room, which is full of play equipment specifically designed to enhance and develop the motor skills of our youngest children. The specialised equipment allows them to experiment with different movements and actions and to learn the limitations and the capabilities of their bodies in a safe and controlled environment.
Children of all ages enjoy their ICT lessons in the purpose-built ICT facilities: one in the main building and one in the Year 5 and 6 building. The pupils have access to a wide range of computer software including: word processing, multimedia presentations, drawing, programming, databases and spreadsheets. They can also access information and web pages on the internet in a safe and secure environment. To enhance their learning opportunities further, pupils have access to tablets, which are used for a range of activities and projects.
Music lessons take place in the music rooms, which are equipped with a wide range of instruments, including keyboards. Two separate rooms are also dedicated to individual music lessons which pupils can opt for, such as piano, drums, violin and guitar.
Outdoor play areas in the Primary School are large and separated into areas for specific age groups. Each area has age-appropriate play equipment and shaded areas for pupils to choose how they wish to spend their playtime. The grounds also contain a garden area, where pupils love to grow vegetables and flowers and look for bugs!
